Morgan appeared in a film that was about AIDS education and prevention. Safe Sex for Men and Women. A portion of the profits were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force in many fundraising campaigns to fight this disease. She also addressed the Congressional special committee on AIDS education. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and on the board of Governors of APLA. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to be his substitute during AIDS celebrations and she's hosted an AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy nomination for her extra episode in Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. This spring, Morgan costarred with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The movie was created Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. After that, she was sent to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the production. Morgan was also in the psychological suspense thriller made exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the network's history.
